Marie Magozore

Marie Magozore is the newly appointed Director of the Black Blossom Alliance, bringing a wealth of experience as an Early Childhood Educator, Visual Artist, and advocate for maternal equity. Her work is deeply informed by her personal journey as a mother of four, where she encountered firsthand the disparities within maternity care systems. These lived experiences sparked a powerful commitment to justice and ignited her passion to drive systemic change in maternal and child care.

With over two decades of experience in early childhood development, Marie has worked closely with families, young children, and new mothers across diverse communities. Her approach is grounded in compassion, creativity, and cultural responsiveness. She has helped design community-based programs that support young families in navigating motherhood, postnatal care, and early learning.

As a Visual Artist, Marie brings a unique lens to maternal advocacy—using art to amplify unheard voices and raise awareness about the emotional, physical, and systemic challenges faced by women, particularly those from underserved and marginalised backgrounds. Her work bridges the gap between health, culture, and healing.

At Black Blossom Alliance, Marie leads with authenticity, empathy, and a deep desire to ensure that all mothers and families—regardless of background—receive the care, dignity, and support they deserve. She envisions a future where every mother is heard, supported, and empowered.
