A highly experienced and dedicated healthcare leader, I currently serve as the Maternity Clinical Governance Lead within NHS senior management, bringing over 21 years of midwifery experience across both private and acute settings, and over a decade of expertise in clinical governance and risk management. A Registered Midwife and Registered Adult Nurse, I have consistently championed safe, equitable, and high-quality maternity care through strategic leadership and frontline excellence.
As a Florence Nightingale Scholar with a Master's Degree in Advanced Practice in Women's Health, I am deeply passionate about improving maternal health outcomes—particularly for Black and Minority Ethnic women, by addressing health disparities and promoting culturally sensitive care. My work integrates governance, senior leadership, and clinical excellence, with a commitment to empowering both women and the midwives who care for them.
I am also a published author and educator, dedicated to teaching and mentoring midwives in advanced clinical skills, especially in the management of high-risk pregnancies. My leadership style is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and a relentless pursuit of safety and quality in maternity services.
Driven by purpose, I continue to advocate for women to find and use their voices in healthcare, ensuring their needs are not only heard—but prioritized.
